Take your team “Back to Basics” with our wilderness away-day experiences in the heart of Kielder Forest in rural Northumberland Situated off-grid, with no internet and limited mobile telephone signal.
Participants have the opportunity to take a renewed look at face-to-face communication and teamwork without the constraints or enhancements of technology. Escaping modern day life, your staff will have the chance to escape the every-day pressures and connect with their environment and each other to improve well-being and performance.

Create your bespoke package from our range of activities including archery, ballista building, orienteering, team challenges, rural craft, pilates and trail cycling. More formal meeting and team development sessions can be arranged in our wooden Lavvu or larger event tipis and can be facilitated by our team or your own leaders as you require. Without the use of technology, participants have the chance to explore in new ways their working relationships, strategy and performance to benefit their productivity and your commercial success. This can not be a “Death by Powerpoint” session!
Participants will stay in our luxury bell tents, complete with log-burners, ensuring comfort in the wilderness overnight. They will also have the opportunity to cook their breakfast and evening meal overnight on open fires, or you could choose one of our dining packages. Our licensed bar overlooks the formal garden area and pond providing the chance to relax and socialise in the evenings. Situated in a Gold Tier Dark Sky Park and surrounded by the outstanding natural beauty of Kielder forest, participants can connect with their team and with the wild, improving communication, perfomance and propelling them to success.
